The Art of Receiving with Grace, with Oralee Stiles

Today I offer you an interview with Oralee Stiles… she is a spiritual director and minister, who lives life fully, isn’t above skinny dipping with twenty women half her age, and is newly engaged to her beloved, Harry.  They’ve known each other since attending a church camp in Wisconsin when they were 13 years old, and now, 62 years later, they are getting married in Oregon!

Oh, and she is my other mother.  She has been teaching me, loving me and delighting in life with me since I was ten years old.  There is no one in the world I know of that is more graceful at receiving than Oralee!

** This video originally came from my online Virtual Retreat Receiving Money with Grace. I’m looking at the calendar for another good time to offer the 5-week virtual retreat and I’m open to suggestions!

It is one of my greatest dreams to help women around the world heal their relationship with money. I want you to know (maybe for the first time) that your creativity is an asset in this healing process.

This interview with Oralee Stiles was refreshing and inspiring. I found the point of view about owing it to my clients to receive, to make a living at what I am doing in order to continue giving it, important. I also like that both Oralee and Luna sign checks “with thanks” and “with gratitude”. These ideas and gestures slow down the thought process and experience of giving and receiving compliments, gifts, money, paychecks, what ever that hits the trigger button, and makes a difference to me. Thank you.

  2. Thank you so much for this interview. I used to go to Stiles for Relaxation. I loved hearing what Oralee is up to now.

Thank you for this timely interview and thank you for your willingness to explore the energetics and the issues around money. Oralee’s stories are always so uplifting. It’s also nice to witness the connection between the two of you.
