I learned about creating image cards from Susan Banyas, a local teacher and performer who used visual images as feedback in her Soul Stories workshops. I then adapted the process into a nightly ritual. Using 4×6″ watercolor paper, I spent 10-15 minutes each evening creating a image that related to my day. Sometimes I painted or collaged and then named the image, other times I started with a distinct feeling or idea and created an picture of it. I did this everyday for a year. Click here for more information on making your own set of image cards. I teach this process as part of my visual journaling workshops.
